On sale my Palm Bay Tidalwave guitar model from 1992. Guitar is a rare find from a UK high end hand made guitars. Currently are discontinued from long time. Bought this guitar around a couple of years ago from the UK bay. This guitars were quite expensive in the day were produced.
Specifications:
I don´t know too much aboutt this guitar and I post all information I know. The sounds is very similar to put an example of a Jem guitar and also the neck radius and dimensions reminds me completely a Jem feel one Very playable with excellent tone and sustain.
Body: I.m guessing mahogany??
Body Top: Flamed maple with cream binding through all body.
Finish: Trans grape or violet finish, really beautiful.
Neck: Maple with back of headstock in what it seems bubinga.
Fingerboard: Rosewood with 24 frets and ping pong dots and Palm Bay inlay on the first fret.
Pickups: H-S-H configuration of Dimarzio pickups exclusively designed for Palm Bay. This model mounts Dimarzio Artic pickups. I must say quite similar to a Jem in sound. Neck pickup like a Paf Pro and bridge will be as an Tone Zone or Paf as well...
Bridge: Gotoh floyd bridge really cool.
Flaws:
- 2 small chip marks on the top (see pics)
- Some regular wear marks here an there at the edges and back nothing serious.
- Neck repaired. I received guitar with the joint of neck and head unglued and was repaired by a luthier. I feel nothing strange this last year playing the guitar frequently.
The rest is completely in excellent condition, no fret wear, no pitting on metallic parts etc...
