FS: Peavey JSX Head / Marshall 1960B

Since acquiring my Rivera combo, I've quit my band and thus, no longer need my half-stack. The JSX is in near-mint condition and has about 50 hours on the original EH power & preamp tubes. Used for 2 private party gigs and a dozen or so practices. No funky smokey odors and it has been in storage at my smoke-free home since January 2007.

I bought this head from my local Peavey dealer. According to Bill (owner) @ Bill's Music in Catonsville, MD, this particular head was air freighted from Peavey so they would have it in time for a Joe Satriani in-store appearance that was occurring at the time of this amp line's debut. The original initial order of amps that were shipped out to Bill's were lost or delayed. They wanted to make sure that Joe had at least one JSX to play through during his appearance at Bill's. Unfortunately, there were none left at the factory. Except this one. It was in the office of either James Brown (amp designer, not the godfather of soul) or Hartley Peavey. It was their personal amp that they hand selected from factory stock before the initial batch of amps shipped to the dealers. Joe had signed this one on the top, near the handle in silver sharpie while it was still at the factory. They boxed it up and put it in the boss' office. The day this one shipped via FedEx, the rest of Bill's order was delivered, thus this one sat in Bill's warehouse and was never opened until I bought it. Includes the footswitch and cable. I believe I still have the original shipping box.

$850 (paypal) $800 (M.O. or bank check), O.B.O., plus actual shipping to USA address only. You must be a Jemsiter in good standing and have an excellent iTrader or e-bay feedback rating.

The Marshall 1960B (JCM 900 era) is loaded with the standard G12T-75 Celestions. Tolex is in great shape - just a couple small repaired tears on the rear panel. Again, this has been in storage at my smoke-free home.

$400 (paypal) $350 (cash, or M.O.) Local pickup only, or I can arrange to deliver in the Baltimore , Annapolis, Washington, DC areas.

I will be away all day Saturday. Replies and P.M.s after Saturday noon EST will be answered Sunday morning. NO TRADES unless you've got a nice Gibson, Martin or Collings acoustic (plus cash from my end).

Thanks for looking!
