I have several rack pieces that I may be putting up for auction over the next couple weeks, but would much rather deal with you guys first.

All items are in great condition.
Selling because I found out today my plant (Ford) is closing and I need to eliminate some other debt and these are pieces that I'm not relying on or are duplicates.

how would you describe the Engl E530 preamp?

I have a prophesy already, and wanted to try an engl preamp as well.

Sorry; the Prophesy is gone.
The Engl is gone too.

The Engl is a nice piece, but for the price, I'd say the Randall RM-4 is as good or better and will get similar tones and is considerably more versatile.
The Engl clean tone is incredible, but I've found that a slightly modded JTM module for the RM4 is just as good.
The high gains in the Engl are obtainable with any one of these RM4 modules; 1086 / XTC / Modern
You can come close with other modules, but those are the better ones for high gain.
