FS: RG550 in Sydney, Australia!

Hi all,

With no luck on ee-Bay (buyer sent me an email this morning saying "i have over-extended myself" - followed by me absolutely blasting him), I have decided to sell my RG550 on Jemsite instead. I really should have sold it here in the first place, knowing how useless ee-Bay is and how much more I can rely on fellow Ibby lovers.

Location:

Sydney, Australia. I am happy for pick-up, or postage anywhere around Australia at the buyers own arrangement.

Price:

AU$650

Description:

* Body: Black - Basswood
* Neck: The unbelievably thin Wizard!
* 24 Frets
* Maple fretboard
* Width at nut - 43mm
* Thickness at 1st fret - 17mm
* Thickness at 12th fret - 20mm
* Width at last fret - 56mm
* Radius - 430
* Traditional Square Heel neck joint
* Black Pickguard
* Jumbo Frets
* Pickups:
* Neck: v1
* Middle: s1
* Bridge: v2
* Bridge: Edge - enough said! The origina; legendary trem which refuses to go out of tune when setup correctly.
* Made in Japan, ofcourse.

Condition:

The guitar has a few minor dings, nothing more than expected and honestly you can notice from more than a couple of feet away. A minor ding on the bottom front edge of the guitar has been touched up, and a similar ding on the rear has been left untouched. All blemishes have been shown in the photos. The Floyd returns to perfect pitch even after heavy use of the trem.

It must also be noted that there is a small and non-expanding hairline crack at the nut. I have had this checked out by my luthier who confirms what i originally thought - that it is not anywhere large enough to cause tuning issues. I have monitored the crack continuously and it has not been expanding to any extent. The other 'issue' is a hairline crack at the neck joint of the square-heel. I assume most of you looking at this thread are knowledgable on the guitar and are aware that this is simply a crack on the plastic/finishing, and NOT the wood. A design flaw in the paint job in earlier RG's. Ofcourse, this doesn't affect the play/sound of the guitar in any shape or form.

I have slapped on a fresh pair of 9's - about a week old now in preperation for the auction. All stretched out and tuned, ready to play straight out of the TNT courier when it arrives at your doorstep!

Included:

* Ibanez RG550 Black guitar
* IKL Travel Case (very sturdy)
* Purple Ernie Ball strap

Re: FS: RG550 in Sydney, Australia!

Does anybody know if there is a way to display the photobucket images on this page instead of the external links? I find it annoying having to open so many windows and i'm sure alot more like me would prefer to see all the pix here...

Images are only hot linked in the Classifieds, and [IMG] tags are disabled.

The classified area doesn't show direct IMG tags, only image links.
If you have further questions feel free to PM us or start a new thread (in another forum section, conversations in the classifieds are frowned upon) regarding posting pictures.
Cheers.
