You are looking at a 1995 Richie Sambora
Signature Strat. This one is from the Mexican series. Features a Poplar Body in Lake Placid Blue, Parchment plastic parts and a maple neck with
Rosewood Fretboard. Pickups are a DiMarzio H8 humbucker, which is a special OEM version of the PAF Pro made for Fender specifically for this guitar model. The singles are same ones that graced the Standard line and were used on some US models at the time. The Bridge is a locking Floyd Rose II with locking nut. This is a great playing guitar with a nice pumped up vintage tone. I believe the neck is the Fender D shape, slightly bigger than the C that I prefer (Hence why I'm selling), comfortable for you folks who's hands are bigger than mine.
When I aquired this one, it had been unfortunately neglected, so I took it into my shop, dismantled it and cleaned it from top to bottom. Frets were polished and the fretboard oiled, the electronics were repaired and work beautifully now. I even dismantled the Floyd to clean and adjust it. You can see by the pic that it's like new again. I have a before pic too if anyone wants to see...
The body has a couple of nicks in the paint, none that are to the wood. The worst part is the headstock. It looks like the headstock took a hit. It didn't break off, but must have come close. The repair is a professional one, but it looks like the wound was left open for a while before being repaired. The wood darkened making the repair visible. It was repaired well as it stays in tune perfectly and the guitar's tone is not affected. There are a couple of nicks in the head that probably occured at the time of the break. This was all before I owned it so I can only speculate. There is no evidence of the damage from the front.
I do not have a back cover for it, but I will include allen wrenches for the Floyd. No case either, so I will ship with the neck detached and include a set of GHS Boomers in 9 gauge for the new owner to install.
This guitar has a "Modern Vintage" tone. It's kind of hard to explain, False Harmonics are easy to get, chords and single notes are quick and crisp, yet it is open toned but not too bright. There is no routing behind the Floyd, so it is Dive only, it's a good candidate for a D-Tuna.
