Ok, while cleaning up in my oold bedroom at my parent's place while I was home over christmas, I found these in a box of miscellaneous guitar stuff I'd left there. I'd forgotten all about them - a set of three Fender American Standard singlecoils I pulled from my '97 USA Strat (of which I was the original owner).
The pickups sound great - basically, if you're looking for "that Fender tone," this is it. There should be plenty of lead left, as the guy who did the swap for me unsoldered rather than snipping wires. I can measure if you want, of course, when I get back from work. White pickup covers, in relatively clean condition - I think they only got about two years of play before I swapped them for a set of
gold Lace Sensors - I do a lot of computer-based recording, so the hum became an issue. Tonally, I had no complaints.
I'm asking $75 for the set, plus $5 shipping within the Continental US. I couldn't find them listed for sale anywhere else (though, I could have sworn you used to be able to buy these from Fender), but I think this is a fair price. I'd rather not break them up, as I believe (but I'd have to pull 'em back out to check) that they are position-specific - a reverse-wound, reverse-polarity middle position, and a different wind for the bridge. Thanks!
