- Hard Maple Neck
- Rosewood Fingerboard - 24 frets 25.5 in scale - offset Paua Abalone dots
- Wide Fat Neck profile (very similar to a Tele)
- Chrome Hardware (Kmobs, selector switch tip, strap buttons, screws, Sims logo, etc)
- Chrome Gibson Burstbucker Pro pickups in the bridge and neck
- Chrome nashville style tune-o-matic bridge
- Locking Sperzel Tuners in Satin Silver
- All fret work done by Joe Glaser at Glaser Instruments in Nashville, TN on his $140,000 PLEK machine....probably one of the best if not THE best fret guys in the world.
- New hardshell case
- FLAWLESS Mirror Slick Fender Surf Green paint
- Switchcraft electronics - Sheilded cavity and electronic cavity cover
- The 1st and current ONLY Surf Green Single Cut we've done, so its really one of a kind! The 2nd Single Cut to be made.

This guitar has so much tone. Very very warm on the bottom end and very bright and clear highs. It really sounds great all the way across the frequency. On distortion channel it has tons of sustain, hits pinch harmonics with ease, and plays like butter....you really couldn't ask for a better playing or sounding guitar. Several people have asked me why we chose to go with Poplar and what does it sound like. Poplar is a stringy, dense, yet lightweight hardwood that is unusually resonant. Poplar, when used in solid-body electric guitars, has an exceptionally crisp sound, often described as "spirited" and "bouncy" - even "funky."

I took this decription from Fender's website.......

"One of the softer hardwoods, its very resonant with a meaty tone. This wood is being used by many electric guitar manufacturers as a substitute for alder as it is quite similar in tone."
So its used in alot of Fenders and quite a few Jacksons from the mid to late 80's & Carvins in the mid to late 80's, Ibanez's Prestige S2170, Parker Fly's, etc just to name a few.
