This is also on TGP but I figured I'd post it here too. I've got here a Yamaha T50 amp head. This amplifier was designed by Mike Soldano to the specs of the SLO before he opened Soldano custom amplification. It is 50 watts all tube running on 7(!) 12ax7 preamp tubes and 2 6L6s in the power amp section. This amp is a 2 channel, footswitchable, with seperate eq and reverb controls. When Soldano originally designed this amp, Yamaha changed a few things in production. These things have since been modded back to the original SLO specs by Soldano himself at his shop. This includes adding a choke and a mod for the reverb too. This amp has been recently serviced and retubed with a brand new set of Groove Tubes and a fine bill of health. Cosmetically it is in good condition. There are a few marks on the tolex(look more like little smudges) and that sums it up. This amp goes from clean to crunchy breakup on Channel 1 and Channel 2 has gain like you would not believe. The 7 preamp tubes can go from AC/DC territory to ultimate
overdrive and tube saturation. This amp isn't called the poor man's SLO for nothing.
