I was thinking of parting out my RG to auciton off and help fund another guitar. I thought maybe before I did that I'd check here and see if anyone had an interesting trade to offer.
The bad: This guitar was a beater/project when I bought it. I repaired a crack in the body that was making the posts lean forward (one post still leans forward a little but it is rock solid, I just didn't line it up properly when I repaired it. Intonation is fine.) I stripped and painted the body (turned out very good), the frets have considerable wear especialy on the high E string area. (does not effect playing). There is also an extra hole in the pick guard, I was going to mount a black micro switch in there as a kill switch but I never got around to it. Right now there is a small peice of black tape over the hole. You can't even tell from a few feet away. This guitar is defiately a player.
The Good: This guitar plays very well and sounds excellent. Very resonant. Nice maple board that is in good shape. The trem is a TRS101 which is actually a good tuff trem. Very much like an original Floyd Rose.
Dimarzio Air Zone in the
bridge position. Import evolution copy in the neck. Good looking, playing and sounding RG.
Included: I have an extra black humbucker for the bridge that matches the one in the neck. I also have an extra pickguard. It's a black tectured guard that I once had installed.
I'm just looking for another guitar for a change. Something more traditional that suits my current band a little better. I would like to get a PRS se maybe. I would consider just about any guitar of equal value. Just let me know. I could add a little cash too. I'm also in the market for a good small amp or amp head.
I am by no means desperate to get rid of this guitar. I like the guitar a lot and would only consider trading for something a little different. I can take lots of high res pics if needed.
