I've got an '88 Ibanez 540S Saber with the original Ibanez hard shell case that I'm considering trading or selling. This guitar was assembled in the US from Japanese-made parts in '88 and comes in a beautiful "Lipstick Red" finish. This is one of the earliest Sabers, as you can tell by the switching. You've got 3
mini switches. Each single coil has a 2-way on/off switch and the humbucker has a 3-way single-coil-on/off/humbucker-on switch with a master volume and master tone. Pickups are IBZ/USA American-made pickups, and the tremelo is an original Ibanez Edge w/the Tremlock system for more stable vibrato use. It's in very good shape with only a few minor dings and surprisingly little hardware wear. Also, it has the standard finish cracks at the neck pocket. The previous owner seems to have touched these up with a clear coat, or nail polish or something. There is also almost no fretwear except for a few spots on the first few frets, but these don't effect playability at all, and are barely worth mentioning. The only thing not original is the tremolo arm, which is aftermarket. The original Ibanez case is included and functioning perfectly.
I'm looking to trade for a newer S-series Ibanez with a ZR Tremelo system, preferably Japanese-made, or a PGM. Some models you'd have to add cash with the trade. Also, I might consider a Gibson SG (not a faded special), or a nice
Fender fat Strat, a Tele, Jazzmaster, Jaguar, or something else interesting. Also, I'm looking for a Nintendo Wii system (plus cash on your end). No Jackson, ESP, or Schechter please.
As far as a cash sale, I'd say $595 Shipped and Paypal'd inside the continental US.
