This is an early
Ibanez Les Paul copy. Pre serial number which dates it to the early 70's. Not flawless but not beat either. Tuners have been changed to Grovers and the nut has been changed to a Graphite one. Most of the fretware is limited to the 9th fret and lower (previous owner was mostly an acoustic kind of player). You can play it as is but, fretwork is recommended. Binding is in excellent shape. There is a clearcoat finish crack at the neck pocket. Small chips at headstock tip. Back of the neck is impeccable except for a clearcoat ding behind the 7th fret. Pickguard is missing. Some wear on the finish of the goldtop where your elbow would rest and a bit more at the cutaway. 2 chips at the top edge and a few chips around the pickup mounting rings. Pickup mounting rings have cracks but, are all still there. A few dings and chips along the edges. Don't know if pickups are original or not (look old though). In any case SKB HSC included, made in Japan, and has good tone with A LOT of sustain. Inexpensively priced for a quick sale at $475 shipped CONUS!
