Hey people, 2 month old Krank Krankenstein Head for sale. Im asking $1000 which is a pretty good find for a brand new one.

Ill be honest, Its a good amp but its not worth the new price of $1700. but lots of people rag on this amp for some reason and thats probably because its the hardest amp in the world to dial in. After owning it for 2 months, I found a ton of tone possibilities but it took some serious tweeking. Also, adding presence (via the presence knob) will make you sound like total crap unless you crank the amp to a gig volume.

So, If you know how to dial in a tube amp and your a gigging musician. Its really a good amp for you. As with most tube amps that are in the 100watt range. they arent going to sound amazing unless you really heat up the tubes or invest in a hotplate.

Pros: lots of tones via Sweep control, highest quality construction ive seen for an amp (made in USA also), Good clean channel (I was surprised too), tons of low end and great clarity even for low tunings, more gain than you know what to do with, volume boost channel for lead.

Cons: Harder than hell to dial in, weighs a ton (I personally like that though), and you have to crank it in order to get that fantastic tone out of it.

that's what I found too, hard to get a good read on the amp at low volumes, I played one in Sam ash and hated it, but in the studio in the booth it crushed.
