Item for sale: 1995 RG570CT
Hi,
I’ll be moving a few guitars over the next couple of weeks: Probably putting them up 1-2 at a time either here or one of those other dreaded sites. (The other ones I’ll probably list here first are an S540QS (quilted sapele) and a S470FM retrofitted with an Edge trem. Let me know if you’re interested in either of those).
Anyway, here’s one that I figured Jemsiters might appreciate a little more than the average auction cruiser. So you get first shot at it.
This guitar is an RG570CT in the amber finish. These models were unusual in several respects: They only appeared in 1995, they are made of alder, they have the “gravure” maple top, gold hardware, and they have a Wizard II neck. Also the pickups are direct mounted. I think all of those are oddities for the 570 line. I wanted one of these mainly because of the alder body (not particularly fond of basswood) and the Wiz II neck (regular Wizards are too skinny for me).
The guitar has a Lo
Pro Edge trem, Ibanez V-series humbuckers in the neck and bridge, and an Ibanez QS1 (not original) in the middle. A push-
pull tone pot splits the coils in the bridge.
The guitar looks very cool, but has some minor blems, mostly on the rear. The most notable blems are shown in the pics. The gold trem has the usual pitting. You can ask for more details if you’re interested.
Price starts at $375. Shipping ~$30. I can provide a soft case (gig bag) for an extra $20.
