We built this guitar to a customer's exact specs. He made all his payments and then at the last minute had a change of heart so I agreed to help him sell it to get his money back. I got an e-mail from him last night telling me he'd really like to get his money out of it ASAP and he's willing to take a small loss to do that so the price has been lowered to $1999. (If you order one like it from me today the price would be $2400) I have no idea if he's interested in trade offers, but it never hurts to try and I'd be happy to pass on any offer to the customer.
Some of you may have seen this guitar at the NAMM breakfast . It's in absolutely new condition with perhaps 20 minutes of playing time on it and comes with a full warranty.
I love this guitar. In fact, so much so that we're in the process of building another just like it. It's understated, elegant, and done about as well as we've ever built a guitar. The finish is clear nitro with a very slight vintage amber tint. Some trickery on the top makes the grain pop through the finish beautifully.
It has a 3-piece maple neck with a pau ferro fingerboard and paua shell position dots with a surrounding brass ring. The
truss rod cover is black pearl with an inlaid Swan.
The pickups are DiMarzios with a PAF Classic in the neck and an Air Zone in the bridge. The
pickup rings are pau ferro.
The controls are a master volume, master tone, three way LP style switch and a mini-toggle coil tap.
