It's a Vigier Excalibur Ultra in sapphire blue with a very cool maple top as you can from the photos. It's a very unique flame. I believe the body wood is alder. It has the natural scraped binding and matching headstock. I replaced the EMGs with an
Air Norton in the neck and a Steve's Special in the bridge. I don't know what is in the middle position as I had purchased a Duncan for it but it wouldn't fit in the guitar due to shallow routing. So my tech put a pickup he had in there which sounds pretty good. I do not have the trem bar as it wasn't sold to me with one. You can get one from the US Vigier distributer if you want one, but I just used this guitar for
alternate tunings and wasn't concerned about using the trem. The neck has no trussrod, rather the carbon/graphite piece you see in the picture. The neck will not move in any climate conditions. Very stable.
This guitar has scratches (more on the back than the front) but nothing into the paint. There are a couple of small depressions on the front behind the bridge, but as you can see from the photos they aren't really noticeable. It must have a very tough clearcoat.
The guitar plays and sounds great and handles the drop tunings with ease, despite having the trem. It's currently strung with EB Hybrids. If I had money falling out of my pockets, I would keep this guitar. But I know Vigiers are tough to find and hopefully it will land in a good home somewhere. It comes with a hardshell case, but it's nothing fancy. I can take photos of that if needed. I'm pretty sure the MSRP is $2850 on it and I'm asking $1425 plus $30 for shipping in the US. I need to sell it domestically.
