Hi, Folks! Just registered here in search for an Ibanez
S1520, as I've been told that this messageboard is my best bet to find one. I believe these guitars were made from 1998 to 2002.
I had a
S1520BP several years ago and as time has gone by I've really grown to regret selling it. I realize it's not a super-high-end guitar, but I think the S1520 was very underrated...it had fantastic playability...great tone with a pickup swap (IMO)...and besides, I have an emotional attachment with the axe.
I prefer the all-mahogany body in Black Pearl to the Bubinga top versions, but I'd be interested in either, or even the other higher end versions of the design (S1620, S1670, S2020, etc.). The guitar body doesn't have to be in mint condition at all, but I am looking for very minimal fretwear.
My address (USA zipcode: 09012) is on a US Air Force base here in Germany (Ramstein AFB), so it's key that someone would be willing to ship here via USPS Priority Mail fully insured with Delivery Confirmation. Since this is an APO address, shipping here is the same cost as shipping within the CONUS. A customs form is required on the box, but there are no customs fees, etc. as the package never leaves US hands or arrives at a non-US post office. It just gets flown in straight to our Air Force base. I will want to pay via Paypal. My Paypal address is a confirmed USA address and it's a USA Paypal account, so US sellers wont be getting hit with the international fees.
