A Question About LGM Guitars

Hey all, great forum....not too much flaming, and people seem very civilized here. I've been lurking for a while but this is my first actual post.

Has anyone here done business with LGM Guitars before?? If so, what was the experience like? I'm really serious about having some work done, but just wanna research a bit so I don't get potentially screwed.

I recently lost out on a Jem on Ebay and was pretty bummed about it. I should mention that I'm a lefty and the Jem in question was a 555 model (y'know, the one that gets laughed at by "real" Jem players). I ended up bidding up to $750 and still lost out.

Then I got to thinking if I was willing to shellout 750 for a Korean guitar that was never meant for release in North America, why not spend the money on my 199X RG 560 and end up with a far superior "Jem"

So anyway, I wrote LGM a few days ago and still haven't heard back. I was mostly concerened with how reliable they are, and was wondering how others felt about them. It looks like they do great work but I just need others input.

THANKS in advance,

Patrick

Anytime I email jeremy, it takes a while for him to respond, but that's probably because he's a busy guy. From what I've heard and many forum members can attest to, he does tremendous work and is a great asset to jemsite

If I can ever gather the funds for a custom 7, LGM will be where I go. I'd sooner go there than anywhere else, even taking into consideration big names, like GMW, and other places.

Jeremy is a busy dude. Between guitars, RC stuff and motorcycles, his days are booked. Also, recently he's had email issues on his host server.

His work is great. I've had Jeremy work on a number of projects and still do ;-)

Im thinking of sending lgm my guitar for some work on it, if i ever get out of debt to people. I dont think that Jeremy would be too welcome here if he wasnt reliable, so just read around to get a general feeling about what people think. LGM is REALLY cool cause if i do work with them, then i wont have to send my guitar over the boarder

Hey everyone,
I apologize for the delays in emails, recently I've been swamped, I put in up to 16 hours a day and by the time I get home I'm just ready to go to bed.
I have an apprentice beginning in about a weeks time, hopefully that will free up some of my time and I'll be able to get back on top of things here.
I do get to all my emails, sometimes it just takes time.
Glen, I'll send you a PM right now

I can only say that Jeremy (MISTER LGM ) does amazing work. He's making me a UV77MC (as a lefthanded). I haven't received it yet but what I have seen from pics the thing will be no other than great ! You are at the right place if you want something done right. Good luck with your guitar !

Regards

André

Ok, all emails should be caught up now, if for some reason you haven't received a reply, I never got your email.
I apologize to all for the delays, I have an apprentice starting soon which hopefully will give me a little extra time to get caught up on projects and answer emails faster.
Thank you all for your patience.
Jeremy

I have honestly had no complaints against any of the vendors advertising on jemsite, including LGM. Delays are inevitable and with any custom work, i'd be patient rather than rush out an unsatisfactory product ...glen

This is true. It's strange. Projects seem to come in waves causing lead times to vary and when it's just one person (I think in each of our cases), those lead times can stretch out a bit. Not to mention the occasional errors and having to start over
