Amazon carrying high end musical equipment

Hey guys. Just thought some of you would be interested we are partnering up with musicians friend and a few other companys at amazon.com where I work, and have started carrying high end guitars. Before we had a few random yamahas and crap laying around, but our biggest selection seems to be gibson right now, only four models from ibanez, but i would assume much more will be added. Ill try to keep you posted on quality issues and things, i would assume that 90% of these items are gonna be dropshipped anyways. I work for customer returns in lexington Ky by the way

That's great! I love Amazon!

I don't know if my input is useful here, but I really would like to see them carrying accesories and stuff. I honestly wouldn't buy a guitar from a store like that, but it would be great to have access to picks, strings, and stuff from them, specially because mf or m123 don't ship overseas!

Is Amazon.ca run under the same company? Cuz if it is, this is a great thing

And I'd love it if they sold guitar strings too (especially 7-string sets )

Yes it is, although Im pretty sure you can go to the regular amazon.com website and order anywhere in the world. Which is a good thing all around. We have almost all the major manufacturers listed on teh beta version of our website but we havent started stocking all the models. A measly four low end junkers from ibanez. Blah, but basically everythin in the gibson line includin historics

I browsed alphabetically by brand, and nothing showed up under "I". It didn't look too impressive to me... just lots of junk from MF, and even MusicYo is selling Kramers and Steinbergers on there at the same prices you can get them for anywhere else. No special deals, no special inventory.

And Twohands: Music_123 and American Musical Supply both ship to Canada.

You can, and with the exchange rate and UK prices being what they are it is often cheaper in the UK to buy from Amazon.com and pay the shipping than to buy from Amazon.co.uk!

The links were up yesterday Darren but the website guys, have been systematically removing all links without pictures for the final release soon. We only had four ibanez models yesterday but i can only remember specifically the destroyer being one of them. We have plans to carry everything musicians friend does at least right down to the t, we do their website work for them right now as is. I may not necessarily agree with company politics like MF's, but Amazon is at least customer centric oriented, note the positive reviews from other posters. This means that most of our foreign buddies will be able to get alot of products they normally just couldnt fathom getitng in their home country
