An $85,000 Vai vault guitar on Evilbay

Check this out: 7371247148

Supposedly an actual guitar from the G3 tour that came from Vai's vault.
Hmmm, $85,000 but the pictures look like they were taken with a 10 year old webcam-wtf

Re: An $85,000 Vai vault guitar on Evilbay

Man im a HUGE fan of vais but i wouldn't pay any huge premium just because its has been ''played by vai''. They are just basicallly glorified VWHs. With EVO or FLO i would pay a fair premium to get hold of them because of their history and value but a standard VWH ''used by vai'' in G3? Dont think so.
Now if somebody offered me one of petruccis 7-string Ibanez JPMs......id be broke

If it was really Vai's wouldn't it have a name or written behind the trem to identify it. Also, I'm sure the innotation would at least be close on Vai's guitar.

Current bid is at $1,200 not a bad price for a Jem7VWH.

Maybe that's the idea . Claim it is Steve's then put a stupid buy now price on it and you might have the chance getting a good price for it .

Re: An $85,000 Vai vault guitar on Evilbay

well, it's posible that Steve uses more than 3 springs, since he changes to 10s during a tour. but all of Steve's guitars that are available to the public usually have names. even if it were one of Steve's, who would honestly pay $85,000?

I don't think this guitar is Steve's. I have never seen it before, and if it was used on the G3 tour, I'd be able to tell.
