Re: Any thoughts on this JEM?

Pretty easy to tell from the trem, you can see from the photo that it has a screw in bar as opposed to the pop-in Edge type trem bar. I hope the guy hasn't paid for it yet.

Well FAKE!!!, and I think the most obvious thing that the seller is happy to show you is the logo on the headstock. The swoosh is GOLD.... Should be black.

I know I'm late, but I wanted to throw that in there.

Yeah stuff like that also makes me think that the seller probably doesnt know. someone should alert him too before he sends out the item.

Re: Any thoughts on this JEM?

Idk, but its possible that the guy just didnt have a camera to take pics of the actual one. In fact it may be possible that it IS a real one, and the guy just happened to steal a fake pic. This is all weird, im interested in hearing how it all turns out in the end.

I'm guessing that the buyer might well be alerting him pretty damned quick.

The jury's out for me on whether the seller knew if it was genuine or not because there are a few things that don't stack up.....

I don't buy that he couldn't take any pics of his own - just about every mobile has a built-in camera these days for gods sake - and they'd be more believable than a single small photo that shows bugger all.

It wouldn't have taken him 5 minutes to google JEM7VWH and find out a realistic starting price.

The fact that he stated delivery would be 10 days made me wonder if he actually had the guitar at all. Just seemed very specific but maybe I'm reading more into it than there actually is.

my deed was done right after I posted my earlier response. I emailed the guy and let him know that the guitar was fake

Re: Any thoughts on this JEM?

Just took a look at the feedback on this item and both seller and buyer have given each other a 'Great A+++++++++' rating so I'm guessing (given that most buyers wait until they actually receive the item before giving feedback) that maybe the transaction didn't go through and they've come to some arrangement. Either that or the buyer has ignored any well meaning advice and is quick off the mark with his feedback.

They both hail from County Down in N.Ireland so postage would've been cheap
