just let the price of petrol creep up a little more ((currently $8.12 for a *US* (not imperial) gallon)) - $9.36 for an imperial gallon.
and he wont be able to afford to run that widow making TVR anymore

perhaps neville will have to go as a result!

It was in the $3kUS range last time a couple hours before close. Unless you're willing to risk the ride all the way to the snipes you'll never get the desired result, and quite possibly not get it anyway if you do take the risk. But on the flipside listing and closing it because it's not high enough just burns it out and nobody will be interested in it unless they know it's going to actually sell.

It's one of the less than obvious (on first glance, anyway) things about owning any one of a kind thing. It simply may not be worth the same to anyone else as it is to you. What you think is a steal of a price might be too much for everyone else, and vice versa.

Good point. Personally if I just wanted to sell it something as individual as that, I'd probably just price it at whatever I paid or a fraction above if I thought that I got it at a good price.

I agree Dave. Also, I'm sure he is getting tons of questions on it, which is putting him in touch with tons of people who are interested in it even if he closes the auction early and sells it off of the bay.

You cant close an auction early with less that 12 hours left anyways, right? I know I tried a few times and it wouldn't let me, with or without a reserve.
