Best option for shipping a large amp?

Hey there- I am looking at shipping a rather heavy bass combo and was wondering what services others have had success with. I have shipped lots of gear over the years, but nothing this heavy.

It is a 2x10" Fender Bassman 400 Pro, which comes in at 80 lbs., so it is not in the half-stack category or anything. Still, not the kind of thing you want to take to the UPS store and throw up on the counter. (to be honest, I don't take anything there and throwing up on them would just be rude). Is FedEx or UPS the way to go with this? Or are there other options you've found? Any ideas would be appreciated- thanks!

I just sold a Fender 4x10 combo, and it has to go to TX, so I went down to the local GC and they gave the original packaging from the same amp. I will box it up the same way it came from Fender and cross my fingers.

80 pounds may be over the limit for FedEx ground, and UPS may rape you on that weight.

Check with DHL and compare to UPS rates.

I have shipped a couple of 4X12 cabs with DHL. I had them come pick em up and they were reasonable on price.
