Brand New IBZ necks: legal advice needed, PLEASE!

I really don’t know if this is the right forum place to talk about this.
Anyway.
I need some legal advice.
I have a friend of mine that is selling some Ibanez necks, some used and some brand new.
I've just checked the stuff and, well: amazing original necks.
One of them has no wear, don’t show holes for machine head screws, don’t show screw holes for truss rod cover, don’t show any screw holes. Dead mint neck, with serial number, made in Japan. He has a super nice and brand new JEM 77FP neck, but it’s cracked on the nut. Otherwise, brand new and never was installed before.
The big question is:
The guy selling those actual items (including 1 Edge_Pro cosmo, 1 Edge_Pro gold and 1 Edge-Pro 7 cosmo) is a friend, of a friend, of a friend.
I don’t have met the ORIGINAL seller.
My friend is telling his friend bought it from Japan, directly.
What if those products are illegal or stolen???
Let’s say that here in Brazil, you don’t pay too much attention to legal issues like that.
Nobody can take my personal guitars and tell it’s stolen.
Only if someone goes to the police and tells the serial numbers and start a “legal prosecution” or something like that.
But: how could someone find my gear inside my house?
Police only can ask you about that if I’m PART of the PROCESS, like a SUSPECT. And I don’t!!!
Ok, I know my boring english skills sucks, but what about the brand new bridges?
How can someone tell it’s illegal???
I hope I can express myself clearly.
Any comments are welcome.
Thanx in advance,
Tubarão.

Ok, Rich. The question is:
Could i or should i buy those things?
I don't want to hear from my friends: hey, dude: it's illegal, you ***bastard!
Anyway, the price are amazing and i can do my best to use the bridges and necks on my projects.

Another question:
If someone wants to sell you a neck but this is a stolen neck, are you guilty?
Thank you everyone for replies.
Tubarão.

Technically, yea, you're receiving stolen merchandise. Bottom line, is anybody comming after you? Probably not.

If you know it's stolen when you buy it, you're guilty of receiving stolen property. If you ask if it's stolen, and they say no, and you get a receipt for the sale, you're fine. Worst that could happen (here anyway) would be that if the gear came up stolen, you might have to give it back to the rightful owner, and you loose whatever money you paid, too. But criminally, you'd be OK. Just protect yourself as a buyer. Ask the seller to show you how he got the necks, etc. Ask if he has any receipts for when he got them. If he has excuses, but swears they're legitimate, then get a signed receipt for your purchase. Getting your guitar parts seized by police is much better than YOU getting seized by police.

The seller told me it's all legal stuff.
He said i can get the signed receipt of purchase, made by hand with his signature.
I think it's good enough for me(not like a Gibson, LOL! ).
I will be with seller tomorrow.
Let's see what happens.
Thank you Rich and TAO.
