Buy a guitar through ESCROW.COM process ?

Has anyone living outsine the US bought a guitar to a US seller by using the ESCROW.COM services ? I mean their process looks fine, simple and fast but I wonder if it is fully safe (after all this is the most important point). Many thanks for sharing your experience.

I used it once to sell a guitar to a guy in Switzerland. The funds took a long time to arrive (about two weeks after verification of delivery) but other than that, it was OK
