Vendors, Auction & Reseller Talk
Not for posting JEM/UV ads. Not for posting dealer/broker ads. Not for advertising ebay auctions. This is to chat about resellers, various gear in question, odd items or the people selling them.

Buyers/Sellers Why not pay for a banner
No doubt i'll Urk a few people in posting this,But i don't see why The Sellers and Vendors that pay should have to when many are not ! If i was in the position that i was buying and selling and making a profit from it,i'd most definately pay for a banner/Ad i see this as fair and as pointed out in faq and in a few threads.
I am constantly seeing the same names,Selling gear for more than it was bought for on eB** and vice versa
I hope to in some form or another support Jemsite by either setting up a customization shop (without putting nose's outta joint obviously) or by buying and selleing as a living at which point i *WILL* pay Jemsite for the privelage
Sorry if i upset anyone,But this has got on my tits for far too long and felt i needed to get it off my chest,Mods feel free to lock it up or even suspend me for my thoughts,i just feel that some are paying unfairly,I'm not kissing anyones ass or trying to get "favours" i'll pay my own way and do deals that both parties are happy with
Please bear in mind that i'm unemployed, have had no set income for the past 3 years as i cannot get insurance to work,So everything i sell i do so to get money to pay bills,If i have enough left over i spend it on my guitars
I'm sure the people know who they are and doubt if this will change the way they percieve thier 2nd income
Kindest Reagrds

There was alot of "Off Topic" discussion about this in another thread, and because it was OT, who knows what thread that was! Bottom line, Banner Adds are for those that already have a website, not that if you're purely profit oriented you shouldn't be paying for the classified add you place here. It is expected and is in the rules [those words nobody seems to read anymore]
ooops, found the other thread!
http://www.jemsite.com/phpbb/viewtop...659&highlight=
Of course that thread was started by one of the classifieds "abusers", which is why it went OT to begin with

I do remember, but i really wanted to put my feelins over in an unbiased replying way ... And for once i seem to have got the correct section
I'm off to list *you know what* for some much needed cash for *something rather groovey*
Back on-topic ... If i do start to make money (which i doubt) i'll be buying a space ... We shall see in the new year !!!

Well I do have a website, and can't post my banner up because there are already too many dealers. I rarely post classifieds though, but it effectively means I can't sell to Jemsiters....

Incorrect, you can always pay to post classified adds for guitars [if you're *not* paying for the adds you post you're breaking the rules, which is the subject of this thread], but correct in the fact only 2 dealer banners allowed, and I'll be here as long as Glen leaves the door open

Should have phrased better "I can't market my website to Jemsiters". All I could do is post classified ads for guitars. Technically I can't post a classified ad for the website itself in the Jem?UV guitar sections as it is not a guitar
Speaking to Glen about it now, the whole things' got me thinkin'

I dont BUY/SELL guitars for a living. Wouldn't mind making a profit every once in a while though! I wish I made more profits than losses though! lol DONT WE ALL?!?!?
I just pay for the banner ad because its good advertising!

Dude, your site gets pimped on here 50 times more than Matt's, and he's paying for a banner!
