Buying a 7VWH in the UK???
Any fellow Englishmen know where I can get a good deal on a Jem 7VWH? Alot of places round my place (Huddersfield/Leeds) are doing Jems for £1800, n I can't afford that! I was thinking about £1600 at the most. Is this unrealistic? Also, would it be cheaper to import from the USA?
Peace and thanx,
Dave

Nevada will do you one for about £1700. The cheapest way will be to order from the states though.

Buying a 7VWH in the UK?
Cheers guys! Algiman, I looked on Nevada and their price is £1699, which is the cheapest I've found so far. Just out of interest, are they the only Carvin supplier in the UK? Anyway, thanx for your help fellas!

I know lots of people don't want to, but by far the cheapest way is to order from the US, even if you get stung for import duty it still usually works out much cheaper than UK prices. I got a second hand Universe in really good condition including a case on ebay from the US for £400! I understand you're looking for new, but it's worth considering - drop a mail to Rich (link at the top of the page).
(I know it will make you sick but a mate of mine went into a music shop in Exeter a couple of months ago to try out a Jem7vwh - when he got there they had one but were going to send it back due to a 'fault'. He tried it anyway and loved it, then they told him that the problem was that on one side of the routed hole for the trem, the paint was a bit rough (you could feel it with your finger, although you could see nothing) and in their opinion wasn't good enough. But in the end instead of sending it back they let him have it for £1000! Brand new, straight out of the box. I've seen it and it's perfect. Lucky git lol)

If you want a UK based dealer, Goto Machinehead and ask what deal they will do, My advice ... Get a new one through
www.ibanezrules.com
get Rich to get one, Swallow the fee's when it gets here and get a minty brand new one for around £1400 - £1500 (this is an estimate)

Heyup Dave
Wish i could afford a Jem7VWH lol Definately what everyone else has said: Go to IbanezRules and talk to Rich, it usually works out £200-£400 cheaper buying from US and shipping it over.

Yeah I'd do what everyone has said really. But if you dont wanna go through the whole US process of things, then Machinehead is defenitely your best bet. They are a good bunch of guys in there.
They'll probably give you a free cuppa if ya buy an axe that expensive too. I know they give a free cuppa to any PRS purchase anyways,

Hey Dave,
Check the back pages of guitarist magazine, the deals are un-paralleled! Also check the forum at the bottom (Classifieds) loads of great jem deals down there.
the.godfather: Machinehead are the best shop I have ever been to. Always offering a cuppa, even with not so expensive guitars (sub £1000.) Its always full of Vai/Jem fans too, when I was there one guy had the coolest Vai tattoo on his neck! (I wouldn't be suprised if he posts here.)

I havn't been down to Machinehead in quite a while, I did read on the website that someone with a "long-coat" stole an LP.
Oh yes, carvin is the only dealer in the UK.
