The trem cavity reminds me of a cheap plywood Peavey, that a friend of mine has. It would be too much trouble changing the route to fit a "normal" trem, anyway.

BTW, shouldn't that auction be pulled, being that it's not an Ibanez "Gem"? I know that Fender's legal team puts a stop to things like this being sold on eBay.

Yeah that is the one decent thing they could do, it probably was just a genuine case of someone not knowing and getting their facts mixed-up.
