Vendors, Auction & Reseller Talk
Not for posting JEM/UV ads. Not for posting dealer/broker ads. Not for advertising ebay auctions. This is to chat about resellers, various gear in question, odd items or the people selling them.

Re: Christopher Woods?
Theres no real point in being a vendor if your backlogged and can't take on new work..but once he's all caught up, then by all means he should...

I think you're going to be very hard pressed to find anyone right now that makes necks or bodies in a timely fashion.
It's obviously labor intensive and very time consuming.

Re: Christopher Woods?
I have asked luthiers here in Norway, and they won't make a neck after measurements - like a Jem or UV neck, because it's too labor intensive. I'm glad that someone takes on such work. Even though it will make people wait.

Is it as you say?
He did tell me, he would make my order in 2 or 3 weeks, before I ordered him,
So I just believe his words.
But, I haven't recieve my necks and body yet, even whole a year passed.
If he has told me, it would take one year, at first,
I hadn't be disappointed at the slowness of his work,
course It was not late at the deadline that he said.
well...I will wait patiently...,
although, he said ETA , I don't know what is meant,
of my order is in 11/3 on his site...

Re: Christopher Woods?
ETA means Estimated Time until Arrival. Basically means when he expects (Or expected in this case) to have your order completed.

Re: Christopher Woods?
I asked a question on Evilbay yesterday he answwered ASAP, then I Emailed him about 2 projects..let see ....if done correctly I am not like in a Hurry, Id rather wait for a perfect kob than to a hurried up job...
I know what is like to have a job that:
You are a 1 man op.
You make something nobody does
You have tons of clients and most of them iimpatient..
If you get disorganized, accept to much work or run into personal delays ...It wrecks everything...
Cris learn to say No, to say When and keep promises, believe me it the only way to go...
