Re: Christopher Woods?
I have ordered 2LED-Position-necks.
Now, I have been waiting him for 10 months.
Is it usual?
When I ordered a "neck through body" Guitar to other person in japan,
it took 6 months, even it was delaying.
Even I order "flame-shaped" body in addition,
Isn't his work too slow?
I became tired and got tired of waiting for him.

Re: Christopher Woods?
Well Chris' delays have been well publicized, and hopefully with the addition of the CNC machine, he is caught up. I know he just posted on his site about catching up on his neck orders.

Re: Christopher Woods?
Looks like he is making serious neck progress if you check his page and look for the pieces he has glued together. Scroll down to the bottom right here:

Re: Christopher Woods?
He's been updating a little more regularly it seems, so it's nice seeing some kind of status report at least once a week.
KUDOS there.

Re: Christopher Woods?
Christopher has built me two bodys. Great work, Great Service, Great price. I have yet to have him build me a neck, but I plan on having him build me more bodys in the near future. I would recomend his work to any one.

Re: Christopher Woods?
The body I had ordered came up on the 'bay so I bought it
I couldn't get the wood out of my mind (the wood was always great, the finish and the blown deadlines were the problem). I'll have it stripped and refinished at Sadowsky's once I get it.

I guess he has Kidney Stones now... That sucks, they can be painful.
Hope he gets through it ok.

My mother had those about 15 - 20 years ago. Those ARE painful! All the best and get well

Re: Christopher Woods?
I just got three bodies from christopher and the craftsmanship was awesome!! Both are ZR routed. I didn't have any problems working with Christopher, he always answered my emails promptly and always did what he said he would. Can't wait to get the bodies put together!!

Re: Christopher Woods?
I never had a 'quality of the wood' issue with Chris' stuff, and he obviously cares about the quality of the stuff he produces. I think if he can get his email and notifications in line with actual shipping dates, he could make some good money and a lot of fans. Like I've complained loudly about before, there are lots of people who want a new body for their 550 or a new neck for their 7620, etc., and almost no where to turn. If Chris becomes the man, he'll be as busy as he can handle.
My RG7 body was/is gorgeous, but the finish was a sight. He doesn't do those finishes anymore, so I don't think you could have my problem with him.
I wish him nothing but the best; the community needs the service!

Re: Christopher Woods?
My two bodies have yet to arrive, but the communication with Chris has been good via email.

Re: Christopher Woods?
I requested to be put on the new waiting list for a
Jem neck
. I think that was a good idea on his part rather than taking orders that would take too long to complete or turning away orders based on his slammed workload.
