Re: Christopher Woods?

I had him making me one, but I cancelled the order due to my own financial reasons.

Re: Christopher Woods?

Then I guess he does them I was just reading about his recent illness on his site, it sounds pretty painful. Hopefully it will be something that can be dealt with quickly and won't drag on for him.

Re: Christopher Woods?

I just bought a body and a neck from him, he was pretty slow to reply at first, then he got back and told me that he had been ill (OWCH to kidney stones) so I certainly wouldnt hold that agaisnt him, considering we communicate across the pond everything has gone well.
Im just looking forward to receiving my JEM alder body and he is finishing off an ebony vine neck for me....
sweet !

Re: Christopher Woods?

I wonder if he had one of those ultrasonic treatments (Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy) to break up the stones.

they say that Renal Colic (pain from the stones passing from the kidney to the bladder) is one of the most painful sensations anyone could ever feel, and is the closest a man gets to experiencing the pains of child birth.

Re: Christopher Woods?

I wish my name was on his schedule. My body is one of the bodies that isn't on the list and is being worked into the schedule. I liked this thinking that the reason my name wasn't there was because he'd be done my body so soon that it'd be a waste of time to put it into the schedule.

But really all it's doing is keeping me off of a timeline, and it kind of seems like my body was put on the backburner so to speak.

Re: Christopher Woods?

I have a 7 string neck coming from him, he updated pics so the neck needs to be shaped, an Ebony fretboard added, inlayed, and scalloped.

He said he has no health insurance so Ultrasonic lithotripsy is not an option.
That is an $8000.00+ procedure.

Progress is still a good thing, but it sucks he's got this issue to deal with.

Re: Christopher Woods?

I'd love a mahogany RG7 neck with maybe a cocobolo fretboard. I'm not sure he'd make me one though

Re: Christopher Woods?

Long waiting list as it stands, toss kidney stones into the mix and you have a recipe for delays.
