Just got a reply back from him, got the pics as well. As I said, mine is a Jem/Swirl Type thing. I opted for these colors and opted to have direct mount H/H pickups instead of the Jem's traditional H/S/H.
Here's a preview, still deciding on the neck... My original plan was Ebony with either neon-blue vine inlay or chrome vine inlay, depending on how the body came out. Seeing the body now, I think blue's definitely the way to go, only trouble is, debating on whether Ebony or Maple... hmmmmmmmmmmmm...

Thanks again Ernie!
Orb,
That looks amazing! I like the H/H better too.
Maple (IMO) would make it flow nicely, if you get what I am saying.
What color pickups are you thinking of?

Re: ET Guitars - New Vendor OFFICIAL THREAD
that swirl is awesome!!!
... NO maple fretboard in this case.
The body is already too light in color, smooth, near white, pale.. uhmmm... How do you say in english??
so you should choose a
black ebony
fretboard with
neon-blue vine
inlays, emphasizing (highlighting) the neck respect to the body.
and the guitar will be veeeeeeery cool!!!

Re: ET Guitars - New Vendor OFFICIAL THREAD
Thanks guys! I'm still on the fence. Part of me wants to go maple too, but at the same time, the other half of me is hooked on Ebony and how the contrast will look. I'm going to ask Ernie for his opinion and maybe some more pics if he can spare them. In the pics it does look really light... I'm thinking Maple might take it just a bit too *far* *that* way... not sure though... then again if it's just the pics and it's not really that light, then the Maple would work.
Decisions, decisions!
Hell, worst case scenario, and granted it'd be more $$$, just get one neck one way (Maple) and the other Ebony later on if the Maple's not working, or vice versa...

Re: ET Guitars - New Vendor OFFICIAL THREAD
Oh and to answer the question, still unsure of pickup colors, probably something safe though... I'm thinking blue or blue/white or maybe blue/grey. Hardware will be chrome/silver.

Re: ET Guitars - New Vendor OFFICIAL THREAD
Orb - that swirl is AWESOME!!!! Great color, no dead spots in the swirl. I love it!
I have an old Kramer Sustainer body with ET right now. I sent it to him in October to get swirled. I hope to have it turn out as nice as yours. Again, that is sweet!!!!

Re: ET Guitars - New Vendor OFFICIAL THREAD
scoobyjr, we are using the same blue color as Orb's, in your swirl, hope thats ok. Have done some experiments and getting the color balance like how you requested, and have not done the dip yet. Soon as I'm happy with the color balance we'll swirl and send you the pics.

Re: ET Guitars - New Vendor OFFICIAL THREAD
Got my
custom guitar
from ET Guitars today and I must say it is absolutely beautiful! Ernie is a man of his word and came through for me big time!
Took a little longer than originally planned, but trust me gentlemen, ET makes one hell of a nice product.
I will get some pics up soon.
