Faked Ibanez UV77MC auctions!

Iīm not sure if this is the right place for the Thread, but somebody tries to scam with faked auctions on the bay at the moment.

Something like that:

Ibanez-Universe-UV77MC-7-String-Jem-Vai-Swirl_W0QQitemZ360100097696QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item360100097696&_trkparms=72%3A1406|39%3A1|66%3A2|65%3A12|240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14" target="_blank">http://cgi.****.com/1991-<a href="ht...d=p3286.c0.m14

He always wants USD 1300,- (shipping included). Username, email address and Item location always changes. He sent a faked bay notification and wanted me to pay via Western Union.
Be aware of the guitar, I guess it was sold few weeks ago and he isnīt the owner for sure.
He only wants your money!

Re: Faked Ibanez UV77MC auctions!

That's right, I saw auctions that were made up like this one earlier this year. He was pretending to sell a JEM2KDNA back then.

The fact that makes this more annoying is that he somehow steals *bay accounts from real members that have good ratings...

Re: Faked Ibanez UV77MC auctions!

wow I just about bought that guitar, I held off and was thinking about it since it looked like an MKR and not an ATD swirl. The auction said to contact him, and the buy it now was $1300 and to email him. There was no "buy it now" button on the auction. It disappeared and I was bummed. I have a line on an amazing seven string swirl, but I can't give out many details yet.

Thanks for the heads up!

I think he just copied the pics from another auction. I guess the real one was sold a few weeks ago on the bay.

I emailed him and asked him to take a picture with the guitar and a piece of paper with my name on it in front of the guitar to make sure he is the owner.

He wasnīt able to do this.

Be aware, itīs definately scam!
