I was just looking at our favourite auction site and came across this: 330108191421

I have sent the seller a note correcting his Floyd Rose/NAMM statement with this:

Yeah, I have done and I'm doing what I can. The guy won't listen. He came back with the typical "Leave me alone. If you don't want to bid go away. This is someone's dream guitar" kinda crap, which is always what sellers say when you tell them some facts and ask them to cut the crap.

It's a 1991 RG550, as far as I can tell. They didn't release that colour in the original line-up, it was RF, DY, BK and WH only.

I sent him this...

"I don't know if you know this, but no RG ever came with a Original Floyd Rose, and the 550 was introduced at the 1987 Summer NAMM show.

I don't even think that color was offered until 1991, but the serial number will tell you the year.

I like how the seller claims it's the "holy grail" of guitars. The only thing this guitar has in common with the holy grail is that apparently both are believed to have been kept in a dirty cave for hundreds of years. If the seller can't be troubled to clean it up before he posts it for sale, how can he think he's going to be taken seriously.
