I think I got ripped off...

I got this sweet JCM 800 off **** for a fair priced and it was in excellent condition. Everything original. Sounds like a great deal!

Well, it's approaching 3 weeks since I won this. I won it on a Sunday and sent a money order on Monday. I'm in KS and this guy is in FL. He should have received the money order by Friday. Anywho, I email this guy on Friday last week, and he said he had not gotten the money order by Tuesday of last week and he's been out of town. He said he would return on Saturday. So I emailed him throughout the weekend and today with no response.

So if I do get ripped off, what can I do except leave negative feedback? I got this guy's full name and address.

One more interesting note...this guy had 200+ positive feebacks and 4 negatives.

First thing to do is get his contact info through **** and give him a call. Mail does occasionally get lost, money orders can be cancelled and new ones issued [although some of them take forever and a day to do so]

I'm through making purchases over a couple hundred $$ on ****. However, if someone decided to pull this crap with me, I'd be buying plane tickets and I'd be knocking on the guy's door. No one ever expects that, and I'm @$$ hole enough to do it.

Hopefully you won't get ripped off though.

Well, I got this guy's number and decided to see what happens by Friday before I call him. Maybe it will be here by then!

Good luck man... I just shipped my UVMC off today to a new forum member... I sent it USPS insured, but they didn't give me a tracking number because it's not being sent Express. I refuse to deal with UPS if I can find another way. They're too unpredictable, and customer service sucks. Nothing is worse than the wait for something you want really bad. I hope you get it this week : )

from my experience with money order some time bank really screws up

i found my self more than once in inbarresing situation because they money didnt get to me or waas send ok
some time they send money without info (just the bank info and not the client info) so it get stuck somewhere in the middle till it clears up

takes about 2-3 weeks (happend to me last week accualy)

try to be more patient and talk to your bank and ask to trace the transfer to see whether he got it or not

good luck

He mentioned in another post that he has a JCM 800, so I imagine he didn't get ripped off. Phew!
