Ibanez Jem7vwh Fake

Wow. I just checked Kijiji, where I bought the item and he still has it posted. His home town and postal code are shown on it. It is possible the young man didn't know, obviously he didn't try to cover his tracks. I still want a refund though and am willing to throw another grand in with the $800....to get a real (but used) Jem if thats what it takes.

Yes you should get your money back. Don't let him slip. If representivs of Ibanez would see the add they would make clear to him to end the add or face lagal charges.

I also just found another one for sale. Asking price is $1800 for it because it is used. Anyone care to let me know what a good price for a used Jem7vwh is? I know it is usually worth close to $3000 new. When I get the counterfeit dilemma solved, I'll probably verify the other one is a genuine model....then buy it.

Value varies greatly and depends on condition and year made.

I messaged him and asked that he send me a picture of the back of the headstock, to verify age and authenticity. I of course will be checking the entire guitar over to verify authenticity before this purchase.....live and learn.

Me too maqify and I love it, nothing wrong with learning something new every day. I got a reply about the other Jem7wh that I am pursuing, he sent me a video of it. The back of the headstock says made in Japan, with the serial number F0527842. He insists its not a Chinese junker. Any thoughts on me chasing this one? Its only a dumb mistake....if you make it twice, I'm fairly confident the fake one is going back to its original owner and I will be fully reimbursed.

Then the guitar is made in 2005. Before you go after it show us some pictures just in case, as the serial alone isen't a guarantee it's not fake.

Hey Rip, sorry about your situation! We do have a thread for this specific issue (http://www.jemsite.com/forums/f29/is...uss-45348.html) but I don't want to cause you any more grief than you've already got by closing this thread or anything. I am going to move this thread to a more appropriate place though.

Hopefully I can sort the situation out and buy another jemvwh I'm chasing, he wants $1600 for it and it has the platinum package. He said its in mint shape, I'll probably go check it out soon, hopefully this is a good price for it.
