If not Legacy One Guitars, then who?

I've been seeking a maple fingerboard for my rg570s. I bought a 550 and may cannibalize the neck. My patience is running low for a flea bay find. I may be interested in an rg body also.

So, who do you recommend, please?

Re: If not Legacy One Guitars, then who?

This is almost getting comical. Why wouldn't you use Legacy One? People need to start putting problems into prospective. I only have 2 people that are waiting for parts from OLD PROBLEMS that I was left to clean up the mess.

I'm pretty sure that I'm the biggest of everybody out there doing it. My necks are getting into the 300+ built range, and bodies are probably nearing double that. My products are top notch and getting better every day, and my delivery times (Arledge and China) excluded, are some of the fastest out there, if not THE fastest out there. If you need an RG body and are in the US, I can probably have one on your front doorstep by the end of the week. If you need a neck they are taking 3-4 weeks. Sometimes faster. Everything "Legacy One" is exagerated because plain and simple, I do more jobs.

I'm a SILVER power seller on the bay with 180+ 100% positive feedback since DECEMBER 2007.

I'm wanting to do whatever it takes to get past all this non-sense. If there is anything I can help ANYONE with please let me know.

Re: If not Legacy One Guitars, then who?

Oh and besides Legacy One, there are several others that offer similar services. Jaden, ET, and a couple others that may not be listed.

I was by no means trying to discredit them, I just want to turn this Legacy Drama around. I'm out there kicking butt and taking names to try and rebuild "The Legacy".

140+ Documented Evil Bay sales of Bodies and Necks since January 1, 2008 can't ALL be wrong. Right?

Jerry if you have any doubts - simply call Chris - Talk to him and if you like what he has to tell you, give him your business if not call someone else. It is up to you.

Doing your research by creating this thread was not ideal, that is unless you wanted to piss-fart around and create an antagonistic thread. If then, I think you have succeeded.

Re: If not Legacy One Guitars, then who?

Looks like he was just looking for reccomendations, not trying to start any problems. There are a few shops here that can make what he wants and he wanted opinions from people who have dealt with one or more of them. The guy read some bad stuff or has an uneasy feeling about dealing with Legacy. That's his right.

"Why wouldn't you use Legacy One? People need to start putting problems ..."

Thanks for the helpful replies.

No disrespect or antagonizing intended. Legacy One Guitars just figures prominent in discussions about where to get parts. I'm just a critical consumer, and I like to investigate different alternatives, whether it be about guitars or Honda Pilots. Please don't assume that my question is about problems -- not my intent.

If there's a better section for my question (non-Jem Ibanez 6-strings?), please advise.

Peace,
Jerry

Your ok here Jerry. There are a few different places you can go just email them directly and see who works for you and use the search button to get people's experiences.

Re: If not Legacy One Guitars, then who?

I understand where your coming from Elcid, but the existing threads are an amazing source of feedback, regardless of whether it's good or bad. Thats the whole reason why forums exist! I think it was unfair to traget "Legacy" the way Jerry did by starting this thread.

Jerry if you don't want to open communications with Legacy - PM some of his customers and ask their opinoins - that would be my suggestion. Then PM ET and Jaden and ask them questions about what you want made. Both of these gents will be very helpful.

Re: If not Legacy One Guitars, then who?

The guy didnt want to use Legacy. There is nothing wrong with that. He's the potential Customer. It's was easier to start a thread than PM a ton of people. If this thread was "If not Ibanez, then what" no one would say peep.

Re: If not Legacy One Guitars, then who?

The better way to start this probably would've just been : "Which custom shop do you prefer" versus immediately saying "I don't want to go to Legacy One, tell me where I should go"

Thats just me though

Re: If not Legacy One Guitars, then who?

He could've but then he would've had to deal with a bunch of suggestions for Legacy one, which he clearly didnt want to do.

Of course the better way to respond would have been for Legacy to not go on the offensive right away and maybe ask why he didnt want to deal with him instead of 'This is getting commical. Why not use me"

Lot's of different ways to handle it I guess.

Re: If not Legacy One Guitars, then who?

I could have been more careful to avoid stepping on toes. That company was prominent, when I looked into this several months ago.

I've looked at the alternatives, including those suggested by Chris, and they're either across the pond from me. Or they seem more geared toward very nice custom projects, as opposed to Ibanez replacement necks.

If there are other suggestions for people who serve the very specific niche, I'd appreciate it.

Jerry,

Get in contact with Ernie from ET. He is a lovely guy and is great to deal with. I have met him at his place a few times and he has a great set up. He also pays plenty of attention to the finer details. I could not reccomend any one more so!

Re: If not Legacy One Guitars, then who?

Get in touch with Legacy.....

I didn't take offense to it. It actually made me laugh when I seen it. I just wanted to tell people that any of the "problem" days that Legacy One had are WAY gone.

I like to be an "option". When people throw companies into a pile of considerations, I just like to be one of them.

That being said. Have a good one!

Chris
