I'm being screwed by Paypal! What can I do!?

I sold a set of Zakk Wylde EMG pickups to some kid on ****. Now I'm an amatuer seller and was learning the ropes of what to do and not to do.
The auction ended, and I sent the pickups via the Post Office. When I saw his positive feedback, thanking me for the pickups, I threw out the receipt. Now PayPal has issued a complaint against me, refunding HIS money and wanting the money back from me!! I emailed him back and forth and for some reason he claims he never got them. Even after he posted he had.

What can I do about this?? I reported a fradulent claim but now my PayPal account balance is 125$ negative. I don't care if I cant sell anymore, frankly I dont want to. But I also dont want to fund this creeps free set of pickups!!

Whats worse is I don't know if somehow we're BOTH victims. Maybe for some reason he DIDN't get them?? I dont know that! I verified the address! If there was a problem, the Post Office said I should have gotten them back to the return address but I never did!

What can I do!?

Re: I'm being screwed by Paypal! What can I do!?

Paypal's a b!tch man, terrible company run on false assurances and lies. I take my hat off to the bloke whose idea it was, but we also learnt the hard way that Paypal screws people over and couldn't give a toss when my 13 year old brother lost £160 via them, who wouldn't pay us the money we lost because of some scammer for the pure reason that he had already withdrawn it, and there weren't 'sufficient funds' in his account. So they're taking no risk to protect us at all really. If we lose money, it's our problem. It was only through ****, who refunded us £110, that we got anything back at all.

You have to ship this stuff getting a signature for delivery. Pass those extra charges on to the customer. Even if you USPS mail something.... request a signature and delivery & tracking reciept. The best way to go is FedEx or UPS. No matter what if they are "hell bent" on ripping you off, they will. Sorry to hear about your problems.

Jemplayer is right, if you do not have some kind of proof that he received them and this has to be some kind of tracking number, i'm afraid to tell you that he's taken you!!!

Question, How did you pay for the shipping when you went to the post office? If you used a credit card to pay for it, you could get a receipt back and have the post office track a copy of it and then prove it to paypal that way. Sorry to hear about your problem. I tried selling a pair of wheels on e bay and I'm still getting charged for the auction a month and a half later even though I never sold the rims.
