This whole Singapore issue has been quite entertaining. I hope it's mostly due to a language barrier. If not... Don't mess with anyone from Singapore.. Their entire country will go after your entire country if you so much as say someone there might have done something wrong...

It wasnt quite as funny as the " Which trem is on Joes guitar in the dvd" thread but its darn close !!!!

OK. One of these fakes just showed up in a local store here owned by a good friend of mine. I get the call " get your butt over here I just got something I know youre gonna like" This one has a convienant scuff mark over the "made in ??????"

Unfortunately not being an Ibanez dealer or even handling any used ones & not having a clue about this issue someone just successfully traded this thing in for a brand new USA Fender 62 RI Strat !!!

If a Jem555 is a 'fake' Jem -why was it advertised on the Ibanez site?

It's not actually a fake JEM, just a budget JEM (cheaper specs). So although it's a "real" Ibanez guitar, us hardcore JEM-heads look upon it as being "fake", coz it ain't up to our high standards

I posted about this in another thread- the final bid was $1,176.01. Unbe-freaking-lievable! I can't even imagine spending that much money (almost what I paid for my 77fp 15th!) and ending up with a Chibanez. I weep for the buyer, as well as the next 5 bidders who will probably get "second chance" offers for the amt of their last bids...

When i reported this guy on evilbay for selling a fake item, it only gave me the the option of sending the I.D. No of the add. It would not allow me to send a description of the 100's of things obviously wrong with it.

Not only that, it seems its then their policy to contact the maker obviously in this case Ibanez before taking action. I reported it on Friday night so the auction ran its course.

Evilbay seem really negligent reguarding fraud if this is their way of dealing with it. More proberly they don't give a monkeys so long as they are getting their add fee.

Regarding that fake, here we were in the other thread, thinking that maybe it was because we reported it with a handful of hours left, but yet you reported it on the 17th. E-Bay had plenty of time to protect the buyers in this case.
