The tip of the headstock is always off too, either its too sharp or too rounded.

Just noticed another diffrence. The screws on the truss rod cover are far larger than on a Jem. They've just used the same screws they used for the scratch plate. I wouldn't have noticed if i hadn't just removed the ones on my Jem to chrome them up.

Remember those "spot the differences" things?

Even a layman could look at pictures of a real one and these fakes and notice a dozen or more things blatantly wrong. I'm no Jem expert and I can see them in a flash. And you are talking to some serious Jemmers/owners on here.

Hi Guys ... I bought one of these Jem Fakes , I asked the seller if he could confirm it was a genuine Ibanez to which he replyed yes ! I have not recieved it yet but as soon as I do I guess the only thing I can do is report it to PayPal / **** ... it'll be interesting to see how it complares to my 2 Genuine Ibanez's

This is how these copies should be sold, Very good honest copy auction and he even mentions quality control and giving it a setup before it is sent.

Well, from that forum, it looks like people are buying and liking them and don't have much problem that they are illegal copies.

Um, did you read the thread? The guy is delusional. He's convinced that what he has is a factory second and insists that it's a real Jem despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

LOL. yeah i like how he still refused to admit his chinese jem was a fake after rich showed him 3 other auctions with the same serial number as his guitar. must be a very interesting parallel universe he lives in
