JEM777LNG #771 (ebay fraud dec 2003)



I`m so mad right now.

I just bought it and got it this morning, it`s a complete pile of s***. The hardware is all rusted and the plating is almost all gone. The neck looks like it`s been underwater ,it`s all swollen up and the frets are black, covered with corrosion. The body is great though. But dirty, a lot dirty.

I asked the seller for a refund, still waiting. I also did a complaint to paypal, there working on it. What else could i do?

I just sold my mint DVY to get this ,i`m so discouraged.

Thanks for any input.

Oh yeah and the neck plate is dated `88(Like in my other post)

I won`t disclose the name(Yet) of the seller.

Man, sorry to hear that. I hope you get the guy. Did you get it from that old auction site?? If so then didnt he have pics of it? Or were the pics of a different guitar?

Either way its a bummer. But if you have told PAYPAL and that, they should take it serious and he should get whats coming to him.

I bought it on ebay,it had pics, but you can`t see the bad corrosion, and the neck is just unplayable. In the pics it looked dirty but nothing like this.

Yeah, you should hopefully be OK there then. Having both EBAY and PAYPAL on the case will really help. It may take a while but hopefully it will come through OK in the end.

What are you looking for anyway? Money back I am guessing.

Definatly my money back, i`ve got 13 guitars and there all mint, i won`t be putting this in my collection. Can you see the pics? Bad ain`t it?

I was looking foward to this guitar, what a bummer. I just hope i`ll get my money back and be done with it. I`ll be more aware next time.

Yikes. That is some NASTY corrosion. I'm not a huge JEM fan, but it pains me to see any guitar in such a state of neglect.

I hope everything works out for you!

I paid $1425 shipped, i thought it was a good deal for a "Played a little" LNG. The more i look and feel it, the more i`m starting to thinkh it`s been submerged in water . The neck man is................. You`d have to feel it to know what i mean.

My thoughts exactly. There`s even black swarms of dirt all over the guitar, like swamp residue

I wouldn`t even treat a peice of burning wood that way, i just can`t beleive it. You should of seen my face when i opened the case

I'm looking at the pics he posted on eBay and it looks fine in those, thats kind of weird. Think the guitar in the pics is different than the one you got? (I can't see the pics you posted, red X).

Maybe it got damaged during shipping?
