Re: Legacy One Guitars OFFICIAL THREAD
Life is good. JJemmer has a legit bitch. Everyone else, I'm used to it. I seem to often be the center of chaos here. I actually pm'd the guy selling the DNA on evilbay, and thanked him for taking the heat off of me for a day.
Anyway, I am better now. I guess I can be back to the business part of business now.
Thanks again.

Hi all!
The plates were waiting for me when I got home TODAY……

Thanks for mailing them out John. Postage mark, December 29th. I originally received the guitar on the 15th and you said you'd mail them promptly on the 16th.
Like I said John, I don't care about the delay. I really don't…at all. What I care about is you not communicating to me that was going to be the case. I Pm'ed you several times and even offered you advice. You never responded. What the heck was I supposed to think??
It's just good business etiquette to communicate with your clients. (and not space things out
)
Anyhow, enough of that. I think you really have promise. I'm on your side! I have been all along!
A few quotes from prior threads:

It really is a nice playing instrument. Beautiful wood and the finish is awesome except for the lack of attention to detail in certain areas as I’ve already pointed out. SLOW DOWN and give your creations your caring touch. It's obvious you know what you are doing. John offered me money back as he does everyone. I’m not returning it so that should say something, eh??
Oh…lol…….one final (painfully funny) tidbit!
You're gonna love this
John…….you forgot the back plate screws
Ummm.........you DO wear a mask when you’re painting / finishing these things.....…right??

Re: Legacy One Guitars OFFICIAL THREAD
It doesn't come with screws.
Those were extra.
They are probably still in the snow.
The dog ate 'em.
I was going to deliver them in person on the 21st when I'm skiing in Keystone.
I don't fricken know. Use the ones off the front plates. Take the screws out of your cupboard doors, they work, and they way over build them anyway.
You can't use screws. IT DOESN'T HAVE SHIELDING! The metal screws will upset the time ripples. Dogs and Cats living together.
Use tape. Glue them in place. Lick 'em and Stick 'em. Can't screw it? Duck it!
Did you say that they were postmarked on Dec. 29???? As in 7 days after Dec. 22? I dropped those off to Bob at Pak and Ship at 4:38pm on the 22nd. How do I know that, because that is the time that is printed on the receipt. Why do I still have the receipt? Because it had the tracking numbers for two international packages I shipped at the same time. That's the only reason I went to "Qwik Pak and Ship" in the first place.
Now I know why you didn't get them yet.
Seriuosly, I thought they were lost. You might have heard the panic in my PM this morning. I wasn't sure what the heck I was going to do if you didn't recieve them.
Well screw it (oops, no pun intended). Happy New Year! anyway.

Re: Legacy One Guitars OFFICIAL THREAD
Well glad to see everone is back.
Patrick, it was a joke. I forgot that people don't have a sense of humor here. My bad!
As far as conversation(s) I didn't realize that ONLY phone calls counted as conversation(s) the PM's and E-mails don't count. See up here in Michigan that would count, well never mind. Do you know that I've don't think I've ever even seen (read) your thread, and you obviously read mine everyday. Are you stalking me? <<<<That was a joke>>>>
^^^^Joke^^^^
I feel good today (and a little fiesty). I should probably go before I start my own train wreck again.
I'll post some more pics later today. I have got the JS bodies going now too. In 24 and 22 fret neck configs.
The wave inlay necks are done.
***Oh heres a serious question. I have bought every tool known to man (at least I think), and I still don't have one that will cut a binding channel into a
Jem style body
. It goes fine on the flat surfaces, but as soon as I get to the "arm rest" part of the
guitar body
, I don't get a proper cut anymore. Anyone have any ideas? Rich?
Talk to you soon.

Do it carefully by hand, using a router with the attachment thingy for binding.

But the arm rest isnt a flat sruface on either plane, so I have no idea unless you can cut it with the cnc when you make the body.

See replies above... I am having a bear of a time with binding.
As far as finished in white, extra $300.
Somebody help me out on what the J. Custom RG vine inlay is? I'm not sure if I do it or not.
Thanks

Re: Legacy One Guitars OFFICIAL THREAD
They are coming. I just finished the fretboard. I have to cut the inlays now. I'll be glueing them in later today.
Thanks
Techno... I'm pretty sure that you're the guy I did this for right? You haven't bought one, but you wanted it. I think that's you if not it's someone here.

You need a secretary BADLY, John!

Re: Legacy One Guitars OFFICIAL THREAD
Jim,
just go to the hardware store, and get Oval head or flat head metal 4 x 1/2" , they will be silver, which you can paint black or just use a Black Sharpie on them
I always stick with the Phillips heads myself!
Or you can always use Velcro if your that type of guy
