Re: Looking for Scott 74

Dont worry, I have bought 2 guitars from Scotty now, and he has been fine. He has been very, very long in sending them out - but you always get them in the end. He works and lives overseas for months on end, so thats why your not getting a reply.

I waited about 4 months to get my RG421 from him. And I waited about 2 months to get R354 Radius off of him too.

He will come through in the end, trust me. I have been in the situation you have been in. He will be back home soon I think, because I havent seen him around for a while - and he usually pops up after a long break.

Even though he takes so long, he is a good guy. And he will defenitely come through in the end 100%.

Re: Looking for Scott 74

Why is it acceptable to wait that long for stuff? Did he tell you this before you did the deal? Unless a guitar was too cheap to pass up i'd never ever wait months for shipping to happen. IMO if you arent able to ship within 7 days you shouldnt be trading at all. I hope you get your pickups soon.

Re: Looking for Scott 74

I'm not saying its acceptable, I was just making the point that he will get them eventually. I was making the point that Scott is an alright guy, and not a scammer by any means.

No it isnt "acceptable" to wait months for something you have bought, and you shouldnt have to. But waiting months is better than not getting it at all. And he does come through in the end.

He is generally very well priced with what he sells also, so I never complain too much. I know (and so do many others who have dealt with him in the past) that he works/lives overseas for long periods of time. So waiting is neccesary when buying from Scott usually.

But no-one should have any worries dealing with him, he always come through in the end, and he is a ncie guy. You have to time it right usually, and catch him whilst he is in the UK for a longish period, lol. Either that or dont deal with him at all.

Im not saying he is a bad person, im just saying if he doesnt mention up front that it can take months to get your stuff he shouldnt be trading. Obviously he never told Devo it could be months else he wouldnt be here posting. And even if you were travelling, surely you could ship a few pickups.

Very true, and Scott should have told him before he went away again.
But Steve can sleep slighty easier knowing that he will get the pickups eventually.

I dealt with Scott two years back, totally cool guy. But as somebody mentioned, he's in the military, therefore, he might be tied up with some agenda.
