(mini) RG-1527 Blowout!

I found a place blowing out Royal Blue RG-1527's (with case) for a crazy low 699.99

Here's the link: http://www.wwbw.com/Ibanez-RG1527-7-...-i159964.music

The number is 1-800-348-5003, call and dial extension 2357 and ask for Fred. Fred will hook you up They had 4 this morning when I found the page, but they only have 3 left now

Happy hunting!

Ah, you finally have one. That's great. That's indeed a great price. I used to kinda have my eye on this guitar, but I just found I didn't need one. Otherwise I'd be very interested.

Anyway, happy playing, Jim!

Re: (mini) RG-1527 Blowout!

My Carvin is mahogany bodied with a mahogany neck, my (just returned from a long term lend) 7620 has a walnut/purpleheart/alder body, so I wanted another standard basswood/maple neck Ibanez 7. I'm a big fan of 7 strings in general, and I hear nothing but great things about the 1527's neck, so I got the itch And again, this is a full $200 less than the cheapest price I was able to find anywhere else online, and I've been looking. Case included, no tax, free shipping, I just couldn't pass it up. Hopefully some folks here will be able to grab the last three up before they disappear.

Re: (mini) RG-1527 Blowout!

A seven string in a Jazz/fusion setting is very cool. Iirc, that's what you play, right?

Btw, judging by this pic...

...the neck is way to flat for me. I thought it was a bit more traditionally shaped on this particular model, but it seems to be a flat U shaped Ibanez Wizard kinda thing.

But it really seems to be one of Ibanez' recent hits. It's a very popular model. It's running for a couple of years now, isn't it? And I've seen plenty of NGD threads on here concering this guitar, as well.

That's a great pic Yeah, I play fusion/jazz stuff, no metal. Basic fast noodling over odd chords kind of stuff

Re: (mini) RG-1527 Blowout!

It's a beautiful guitar. Aesthetically, I'd prefer this over a Carvin 727 if I wanted a seven string. But...I'd have to like the way it played, which I don't, so..

Btw, if you click on the pic you can see that it's 888 EUR ($ 1400) at that German store. You've got a pretty good deal, Jim.

I will swap the pickups, but I'm not certain what for yet. Possibly more Bartolinis if I can find a set.

Hey that's a great deal. I've got something else in my sights right now (JS1200) or else I'd be all over it.

I'm sure your planning on it, but please post a full review when you get it.
