Study an edge pro, know what it looks like with your eyes closed. If the trem isn't an edge pro walk away. And still know enough about the rest to not get fooled.

I know what an edge pro looks like...I've got one. From the pictures that are posted on here, the fakes are pretty obvious. I'm not an idiot, and I know quite a bit about Ibbys. I've seen a few JEMs in person. I'm just covering my bases before I go through with it.

Like I said, I haven't seen this guitar yet and I'm definitely not going to trade without a thorough examination.

still...if it sounds too good to be true then it most likely is.

A Jem7VWH is over two times more expensive than an RG1527, we're talking almost 3k vs 1k+, which makes a straight up trade kinda hard to swallow.

If you're not getting screwed with a Chibby, he's getting shafted over an RG7.

In fact, if he owned a new Jem and was desperate for a seven, he could probably walk into any store and trade for a new Universe.

You might want to ask him the exact type of Marshall stack as well, just to make sure it's in either the below $1k or above $2k bracket.

Ok another White Jem not sure about this one at all, but there is something fishy about the whole auction. Zero feedback and no full front body shot to be seen... nor can u make out if the last 4 frets have scallop or not

I'd say that's a legit Jem7vwh, can't find anything wrong with it. I can "sense" the scallops. The photo is from a tricky angle so you just don't see them.

That said the auction is as you say fishy... 0 feedback is always scary, but you have to start somewhere i guess.
