Need help !! Shipping guitar from Europe to US
Has anyone ever done this before? Will I have to pay for duty or tax if the guitar is used? If yes, how much would that be if the guitar costs around 500 Euro? The guitar comes with hardshell case. First, I thought UPS would be the best way but after reading some posts here, EMS is interesting. I have no idea about EMS. Does it have tracking system or duty/tax papaerwork like UPS or Fedex? The package will be shipped from Germany. Fedex Intl Economy estimated around $2xx for shipping cost. I've never done any international shipping before but I think it's too expensive. I know it won't be cheap but if shipping+duty+tax(+VAT?) cost me too much, I may have to stop.
Any ideas guys?
