FrankenJS,

-"custom built Ibanez JS1000"

Well sure it is! You costume parted it, whooptydoo.

-"I bought this from an Ibanez repair technician before I was hired by Ibanez as a guitar tech"

LOL, this statment conflics with others in your item description. Like this one.

-" I have been told (though not confirmed) that this was assembled by Jim Donahue (http://www.noahjames.com) during his tenure at Ibanez some time ago."

If you were a tech at Ibanez then I think you would have found out who made the thing.

-"I took a few minutes to give this a really nice setup with GHS"

What tech would use cheap GHS strings? *shivers*

and this one....

-"the nut on the high E tuning machine is nickel instead of gold (probably a 25 cent fix if you're worried)."

YOu would think a tech would have access to the propper part to have replaced it already.

I call BS on this one.

Fake Jem 7WH on the bay ---> 200145941018

It's a pawn shop and the guy doesn't seem too happy that I told him about it.

He said it has a serial number therefore it's real.

I just laughed.

Now the pictures have changed and contradict themselves. The neck pick shows a real jem neck with the vine going all the way down. The headstock shows a Jem Jr.

In the earlier picks it was shown with some weird nut I have never seen and no tuning machines. Now it had locking nut and tuning pegs. Bet this person at the Pawn shop got ripped off.

Lesson to be learned "Never buy stuff from crackheads"

Check out this: 130147878213 - JS1000

Only thing is....

Here we have an Ibanez JS1000 that has been customised a little bit. I wanted to have a single coil in the middle position so rather than route out the JS body I bought an Ibanez S470 Mahogany body (comes with a single coil in middle position.) I also prefer the Original Floyd Rose to the Ibanez Edge, so I put an Original Floyd Rose in there with matching black machine heads, string tree and locking nut. My favourite type of pickups are Ibanez Quilted Maples so as strange is this me seem, I took out the Paf Pro and Fred pickups and put in a QM1, QM2 and a single coil from an American Fender Strat, these pickups just sound amazing to me The guitar is fully wired up and working and set up with a set of GHS low tune 11-60 strings.

There is one screw hole on the back of the body needs wood flake re-glueing, small hole in heel of neck from when it was fitted to the JS1000 body. I accidently drilled through the neck at the 18th fret position when redrilling the new neck hole to fit the S470 body, I have supplied maple and rosewood to repair this if the winning bidder wishes, but in all honesty the hole is hardly noticeable and does not affect the playability of the guitar. There is very minimal fretwear on the neck and it plays like a dream as you'd expect from a JS1000.

The guitar will be sent in a box but will be extremely well packaged!

So is it REALLY a JS1000?

$600 markup for a few photos and fumbled description, and on a guitar that you can just go and buy from Kurosawagakki anyway . Nice
