Vendors, Auction & Reseller Talk
Not for posting JEM/UV ads. Not for posting dealer/broker ads. Not for advertising ebay auctions. This is to chat about resellers, various gear in question, odd items or the people selling them.

custom shop
" (laughable) this or that, or that Vai owned it. I thought it was a good price on my first Jem and having an autograph sealed the deal. There went my tax refund money.
Being 20 years old and broke a few months later, I sold it through the dallas morning news evidently to the guy who is now selling it. I think I sold it for around 700$ at the time and was happy to get it. It never really sat well with me cuz it was a bastard child of sorts, and it was well, pink.
I think its the same guy, cuz he says he got it late 92 which is when i sold it. I was living in Oklahoma at the time and met him halfway at a Wendy's in Texas for the exchange.
Seeing it again is a flashback to harder times. Lol. Extremely odd to see it on sale for that much cash though, wowser. I'd be hard pressed to fork over a grand max for it.
I guess he's basing his price off of what someone told him at a guitar show. Strange though.
wow thats coool yet strange haHA werid how things happen.

Re: New auctions to laugh at
I'd buy it and play the hell out of it for $1000 but what he is asking waaaay too much for it. He must have sold it by now, I wonder how much he ended up getting. Interesting story, how strange for it to surface again after all these years!

Re: New auctions to laugh at
Must have been a GC employee at that show that told him it was worth $4000! They tried to sell me a beat up J-custom one time for like $6000.

Speechless ain't the word dude. It looks like someone ate an MKR and puked it out on body and then clear coated it.

Re: New auctions to laugh at
At least he should have had the decency to puke it out on a 7 stringer and not a 6
