But then again,,,,,beauty is in the eye of the beholder. This may be destine for greatness....watch out "Donnies" here comes the 1 of 1 original. I'm not even sure what to call it... looks like Nail polish?

I like it.
It has a Leroy Neiman kinda quality to it.
I don't like the texture though--it looks too bumpy. And it looks kind of dumb how the sides and back have the original finish. Smooth it over, cover the back and sides, and you'd have a really nice looking guitar.

This guy was trying to sell this in the classifieds. He started two threads and they were both locked because of the simultaneous auction.
It doesn't sound like the guy knows what he's doing. He doesn't know what type of tremolo it has. On jemsite, he claimed it was an ATD but on the auction site, he says it's an MKR.
It is a pretty guitar though. Wow.

Re: New auctions to laugh at
So who dipped that guitar. It look MKR-ish,,, like maybe the screwed up and actually dipped one right by accident. Some of the reds and greens had that Ketchup and mustard thing going. I also cringed when I saw the set up on the trem. That guitar may just be nothing more than a "good looker". It may play like crap,,,especially if he hasn't taken mechanical care of it. The neck probably has a serious back back and the Truss nut is probably as loose as it can get. I would hope I am wrong.

Re: New auctions to laugh at
The guitar looks like it's in amazing condition (cosmetically). I'd guess it's been sitting in someone's closet unplayed, which is why it's set up so poorly.
The strings aren't under much tension either. Look at the headstock photo--you can see how the bottom four strings are loose. The guy may have thrown some strings on there without tuning up, just for the sake of the photo. You can see how he lined up the tuners.

That looks very similar (though not the same) to the one I had stolen in early '91. I wish I could afford it right now. It's obviously an MKR and not an ATD. Depressing kinda sorta....
