The transition from the upper part to the lower looks really strange.

Yes, it is a total FAKE!!!

This is my list of FAKE findings;

Headstock: Wrong
Ibanez logo: Wrong
Jem logo: Wrong
String tree: Wrong
Truss rod cover: Wrong
Serial: Wrong, Ibanez serials NEVER state the model
Neck to body join: Wrong
Neck screws: Wrong
Monkey grip: Wrong
Trem: Wrong
Volume and Tone knobs: Wrong
Rear cavity plates: Wrong

Yes this is a fake and I bloody hate the thing.

Re: New auctions to laugh at

So I messages the faudster on the bay with;

My message: Thats no Ibanez Jem, that's a total fake

He messaged me back: How did you come to that conclusion?

I messaged him back: Just by looking at it. Take it to a guitar store that knows Ibanez, that knows Jems and they will say the same. And while your there, have a look at a genuine 7VWH and you will see. Even have a look on the Ibanez website and see what a real one looks like.

I await my response.

The trial continues...

Re: New auctions to laugh at

I told a guy his Jem was fake and he was bummed, I probably would've told this guy why his is fake instead of telling him to take it to a dealer. I'm sure most dealers could easily be fooled by some of these copies.

Re: New auctions to laugh at

No dealer would be fooled at all, they know what thier reps bring in, they know what's in the brochures, they know what an Ibanez is having dealt with them for years, they should know better than any of us and we can spot it straight away. Most people know they are selling fakes anyway.
