Vendors, Auction & Reseller Talk
Not for posting JEM/UV ads. Not for posting dealer/broker ads. Not for advertising ebay auctions. This is to chat about resellers, various gear in question, odd items or the people selling them.

I have noticed on the au. site that alot of the fakes have disappeared from the Ibanez section, but there's still plenty of them in the other brands section.
Yeah, to think this is just one brand... how many fake guitars there must be in total!!? Probably a mind-boggling figure! It's so unfair. If they advertised them as copies I wouldn't care so much, but to actually try and pass these embarrassingly bad pieces of crap off as our favourite brand is such an insult.
I bet
Steve Vai
is pissed about having his name attached to those fake Jem 555's too.

Someone should notify Ibanez that their RGA321 has jumbo *stainless steel* frets.

This one really gets my goat. He's advertising it as a Jem 7V in mint condition. He states that it says "Made In Korea" on the headstock but then says he thinks it was made in China. Man LOOK at the state of the damn thing! It's so far away from a Jem 7VWH he shouldn't be advertising it as anything but a horrible Chibanez.
GRRRR! <--- Excuse me. Turned into a cave dude for a second.

"New White
Zakk Wylde
Camo Ibanez music

"
LOOOL!
It's actually a really bad PGM copy. Oh my days... look at the chrome volume knob... Look at the LOGO!

It's sickening to see people actually buying them. I messaged the seller and asked if he's happy about selling fake guitars.

Yeah, 300000939834 now why would a K-7 have a Jem Jr. headstock sticker?!?
300000939840 - could that look more junky and phony?
Even worse that they are being sold by sellers with high ratings making them seem more legit to the naive. And how heinous to call them "collectors piece" when they are clearly counterfeit.
And gobs of shame on **** for doing nothing to stop it. Any fraudulent item should result in a loss of account on ****, but their policy basically says that they look at the overall history of the seller. Which is their way of saying that they will look the other way if the law is broken as long as they are making
money.

Yeah, it's shameful. I thought they'd ignored my list of 51 dodgy salesmen but I got a mail from e-Bay today saying they were about to look into it. I hope they do. If everyone collected a list of dodgy sellers and gave it to them maybe this would be better than just reporting a single dodgy auction at a time.

FWIW, the three from the auction house were terminated early, maybe as a result of my (and others) emails. I quote from the listing pages:
"The seller ended this listing early to sell to the high bidder(s) at current bid price."
All sold for $85 -- not a bad deal :-)
